(a) Multiscale analysis of Blood Clot formation
This project combines the models that we develop for DPD, CGMD and PDE to simulate the multi-scale behavior of blood clot formation. The PDE driven enzymatic reactions in the system level can be leveraged with bio-chemical reaction rates at the CGMD level. These tools can act in a concorded manner, to simulate the accurate blood clotting and lysis process in both normal and diseased human beings.
(b) Development of Fibrinolysis and Thrombosis model
The existing mathematical models for Fibrinolysis and Thrombosis are having a large set of PDEs to be solved simultaneously. Our objective is to develop simplified models based on ODEs which can be easily coupled with molecular simulations.
